Chinese Traditional Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition opens in Karamay Xinjiang

The Xinjiang Oilfield Company Logistic Administration held spring calligraphy and painting exhibition on March 10. Approximately 130 artworks were presented to the public in the Karamay's Shan Zhiyang Art Gallery.

More than one hundred of visitors attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Bai Xintai, vice director of the service department from Xinjiang Oilfield Company, attended the opening ceremony and delivered an important speech.

"The calligraphy and Chinese paintings present visitors a visual feast. The purpose of holding this exhibition is to construct a better cultural atmosphere in the enterprise," said Bai.

More than 10 enterprises from the mining area took part in the exhibition of nearly 200 artworks. The exhibition also gave first, second and third prizes in the disciplines of hard pen calligraphy, brush calligraphy and Chinese traditional painting. Huang Fukuan, an 88-year-old calligraphy lover, won the special award for his Party Constitution calligraphic work.
